Living in Boca Raton we always look for fun, educational things to do. Gumbo Limbo provides family fun for all ages. Every visitor will walk away saying they learned something new. Fun for all ages. A great place to bring the kids, take a tour, learn about sea turtles and have a great time. Doesn’t take long so it’s good for the little ones.

Got to the Nature Center early so there was time to walk the trail before the fish feeding began. The Docents were very knowledgeable about all the fish and turtles and ready to talk to the visitors and answer the questions. As usual I purchased serval children’s books at the gift shop to take home to the pre schoolers I volunteer wit so I can share the wonders of the Florida Ocean area with them. Wonderful time for all ages.

This is a must see place and its free! Please donate to help this wonderful place. Turtle rehab, great exhibits, knowledgable staff and wonderful paths to walk. We live nearby and go monthly, its so cool to hear about rehab progress of the animals they ate helping. Go and explore you won’t be disappointed!

I have visited the area many times in the past and finally had the opportunity to visit the nature center. It was truly and educational experience to see the many turtles being rehabbed from their injuries and what is being done to return them to their natural habitat. There was a leatherback and loggerhead turtle there being rehabbed weighing nearly 200 pounds.

What a wonderful experience visiting the Center. The staff are all so knowledgable and go out of their way to share experiences. The work they do rescuing sea turtles is immeasurable and the fact you can get up close and personal with the recovering reptiles is amazing. When you’re finished with the aquarium area – take a lesuirely stroll through the butterfly garden and then you can walk the 1/4 mile loop boardwalk through the dense natural vegetation. COULD NOT HAVE HAD A BETTER VISIT.
